Bowers began serving Southern California in 1972. United Riggers & Erectors acquired the company in 1989, adding Bowers’ trucking operations to its industrial rigging and machinery-moving services.
Today, Bowers transports industrial machinery, equipment and construction materials. Its Southern California trucking capabilities cover standard legal loads as well as freight that exceeds legal width, height or weight limits. Nationwide transportation is also available.

Storage and staging
Through United Riggers & Erectors, Bowers can coordinate transportation with equipment storage between pickup and scheduled delivery.
URE’s Walnut headquarters includes more than 100,000 square feet of outdoor storage and more than 30,000 square feet of non-climate-controlled indoor warehousing within a security-fenced property.
Onsite staff and handling equipment support offloading, staging and reloading. Storage needs and delivery timing can be reviewed together when arranging transportation.

Bowers uses its own trained personnel to relocate customers’ machinery and equipment. Safe work practices and dependable service are central to the company’s approach to transportation.
Planned and short-notice transportation
Advance planning is the preferred approach, but some shipments need to move on short notice. Bowers accepts these requests and reviews availability against the required pickup and delivery dates.
In-house equipment maintenance
Bowers maintains its vehicles and equipment through an in-house service department. The department works to DOT requirements to keep the fleet ready for service.
